I also would like to use the focus be on the Omnibox. One reason is that I am accustomed to using it, another is that it is easier to open new tabs for the search results, which is how I normally use the Omnibox.

I wish I could upvote more than once. Not only do I want most visited, I want more than the Google new tab page. I would like to see 12 or greater.
